Abed Nadir is a main character in the American sitcom series Community.
Autism
At the end of the first episode of the series, Jeff Winger quips to Abed "Yeah? Well, you have Asperger's." Dan Harmon, showrunner of the series, has implied that Abed has Asperger's.[2] Dan Harmon possibly has Asperger's. He states that at the beginning of Community, he saw himself more as a Jeff Winger type of person, but ended up realising he was more like Abed instead.[2][3]
Abed is a fast talker with great knowledge of movies and television series. He constantly compares the situations they find themselves in to various movies, sometimes breaking the 4th wall by doing so. Although he usually has a fairly flat affect, he is also a great actor and can mimic fictional characters with great expressiveness.
