Daniel Klein is a one-time character in the action-drama series Scorpion.
Biography
When Daniel goes missing during a field trip, Scorpion steps in to help locate him. They discover that he's wandered off and during a mix-up, a mercenary takes his tablet and Daniel takes a tablet intended for the mercenary. Scorpion has to look at the situation from Daniel's point of view and involves his mom to figure out what he likes, so they might get a clue about where he's gone and find him before the mercenaries do. Since he likes trains, they trace him back to the train station, where he got on a train. He also likes quiet and dark spaces, and they find out that he's immediately left the train and gone down a maintenance hatch. The hatch leads to multiple tunnels and since Daniel loves water, they follow the tunnel with water to a brewery with a grain silo. He's pacing around the top of the silo to calm himself down, but the mercenary gets to him before Scorpion can. The mercenary takes the backpack with the tablet and in the process, Daniel falls in the grain silo. Scorpion manages to get him out in the nick of time. Daniel shares information he has learned from looking through the files on the tablet, and Scorpion can catch the mercenaries right before they attack.
When all is said and done, Daniel video chats with the Scorpion team to thank them.

Autism
Daniel is stated to have nonverbal autism in the episode. He communicates via a tablet. He is very sensitive to light and sound, even while wearing ear defenders.
