Guus is a main character in the Belgian children's book Het kaartje van Guus (Guus' Card).
Author Janne Janssens has autism herself, the book is based on her thesis short film My Label. It was created in cooperation with Liga Autisme Vlaanderen. It is part of the Pleister series of books, which aims open up discussion about sensitive topics with children. The Pleister series also contains another book about autism: Lampionnen voor Finn (Lanterns for Finn)
Guus wears a card around his neck. It says "autism". At school, his classmates tease him because he is different. He has trouble talking to other children. But then he meets Alisa on the playground, who shows him her own card.
