Lilly Blackburn is a supporting character in the contemporary Western movie The Rider.
Character creation
The cast consists almost entirely of non-professional actors from the Lakota Sioux of the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota playing fictionalized versions of themselves. Both actress Lilly Jandreau and the character Lilly Blackburn are autistic.[1][2][3][4][5]
The movie premiered at the Cannes Film Festival and also screened in the Spotlight section of the 2018 Sundance Film Festival.[6]
