Stina Vik is a character in the Swedish crime series Modus.
Character creation

Actress Esmeralda Struwe, as well as Melinda Kinnaman (who plays the character's mother) spoke with mothers of autistic children, psychologists from an autism center, and autistic teenagers from Solna gymnasium.[1][2][3]
The story, along with Stina's character, are based on novels by Norwegian author Anne Holt. The first season follows the plot outlined in the 2009 novel Pengemannen (Fear Not), which is the 4th book in the Vik/Stubø series. In the novels, Stina is named Kristiane and has an unspecified developmental disability. Autism is suggested and mentioned by name multiple times but never quite definitely confirmed as her diagnosis.
Episode list
Stina plays a major role in season 1 and a minor role in season 2.
Modus[4]
- season 1: episode 1-8 (episode 5 credit only, episode 6 voice only)
- season 2: episode 1, 3, 4, 7, 8
Trivia
- In season 1, episode, 3, a brief view of some sort of medical/psychiatric file is visible. This shows that her personal identity number is 20030817–6427, indicating she was born August 17, 2003. This is not a valid Swedish personal identity number; the last number is a checknumber, which should be 9 instead of 7 in this case. The file mentions rigid areas of interest, and in a well-being survey, Stina indicates that she likes school.
- Season 1 takes place over December 2014 and January 2015, meaning she is 11 years old at that time.
